EUROPEAN DELEGATION VISIT TO REPUBLIC OF CHINA ON TAIWAN

In October 2008 an European Delegation from Romania , chaired by Professor Anton Caragea has visited the Republic of China on Taiwan to asses the possibility for closer economic, cultural and political ties between Romania and Republic of China on Taiwan (Taiwan) and between Europe and Asia .

The delegation has the opportunity to have high level meetings with key actors from Taiwan economical, political and cultural life , capable to create a panorama of the real life in the island and on the future developments on Republic of China on Taiwan.

Among the personalities that delegation has meet where:  Andrew Hsia , Political Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yuen Chuan Chao, President of Taiwan External trade Development Council ,David Wang, Minister of Finance,  Charles Chen, Ministry of Information, Leh Lin , President of Taiwan Broadcast Service ( Television and radio) , Minister of Tourism of Taiwan etc.

From all this discussions had developed a real interest from Taiwan part for a continue development of economical , cultural and political relation with Europe , in general and Romania in particular as a way to forge bridges between continents and cultures.
